According to our insider, Reggie's PR team and Rihanna's PR team hooked the two celebs together . . . in hopes that they'd HIT IT OFF and become the new celebrity IT COUPLE.
And so far so good. The insider told MediaTakeOut.com, "Reggie needs to build up his image now that [it looks] like he's leaving New Orleans and Rihanna believes in having her relationships help build her image."
As far as the CHEMISTRY between the two, MediaTakeOut.com's snitch explained, "There was DEFINITELY physical attraction - on BOTH PARTS."
